Quest Engineering Opens New Test Facility

Australia's Quest Engineering has been busy producing many new products, and this is set to continue with the completion of a custom built acoustic research laboratory. The facility has two primary entities.

First is a test lab equipped with the world renowned Audio Precision test and analysis system with a new anechoic chamber for component and small box testing. But that’s only half the story. For full system evaluation there is a sound proof listening theatre to simulate most indoor venue environments at high sound pressure levels.

Not restricted only to live sound speaker systems, the audio lab will also aid in the development of high intelligibility commercial audio products and electronics. Quest has a program of "bringing pro audio to the commercial market" and this facility will make this mission a lot easier.

Soon to be released are the first products developed in the new facility, but that’s another story.
