Quest HPI-218S Sub-woofer (2 x 18")
The HPI-218 is a very high powered 2,000-watt RMS 2x 18" front-loaded compact sub-bass enclosure featuring Quest's passive excursion control technology. It is designed for general purpose bass and sub-bass enhancement for live music or high-powered disco applications.
Excursion control handles the potential problem of "spongy" dynamic response found in many high excursion 18" front-loaded enclosures. With this combination of innovative design and quality components, ripped speaker braids, collapsed cones and sagging suspensions are greatly reduced.
The HPI-218 is suited to mid- or large-scale mobile live sound as well as large disco installations, especially where compact, high-output enclosures are required. The enclosure is constructed with high-quality void-free ply with scratch-resistant epoxy paint and heavy-gauge steel front grille.
Applications
- Array systems requiring mid/long throw extended low frequency response
- Low sub bass building block elements for flown and ground stacked full range arrays
- Very high powered disco and live band installations
- Picture theatre sub bass enhancement
- Outdoor and large venue long throw clusters
